Bit Bowerbird is a platform that creates complete websites simply from the name of a business. Instead of asking the owner to choose a template, write the content, and build every page, the platform independently gathers the information available online and uses it to create a tailored website. It looks at the business’s digital presence, identifies what makes it distinctive, and selects the relevant text, images, and information needed to build a coherent and professional online presence. The project takes its name from the bowerbird, a bird known for collecting elements from its surroundings and arranging them in distinctive ways to create unique structures. The same idea is at the core of Bit Bowerbird: observe what already exists, select the most interesting elements, and turn them into a composition designed for a specific purpose. The website itself is generated for free. To keep it online, there is a monthly subscription that includes hosting, SSL, CDN, uptime monitoring, and automated backups. Each website comes with a platform subdomain, with the option to connect a custom domain and have it configured automatically. Once online, the website remains fully editable. Through the admin panel, the owner can change text, images, sections, and settings without having to touch any code. The goal of Bit Bowerbird is to make creating a website something that no longer feels like a project to manage, but a finished result that is ready to use.
